How do you feel about the mentally ill who can't get beyond their illness to help others? How do they play into this 'grand scheme'? I love the idea of it all, but not everyone fits, as usual.......Linda
Mentally challenged individuals are part of a group that we should also be helping. Many of them are capable of more than we give them credit for, and can do more than we think. I know this from personal experience. I think part of reaching out to metally and emotionally ill people is learning how to call them in some way to be a part. They fit in as much as we allow and help them to fit in, in my opinion. That being said, I really think that Bono was targeting a social group of people who have it together enough and have the resources enough to do more than we are currently doing.
